The closures are to allow for resurfacing as part of the Spirit of Sittingbourne regeneration works.
From March 13 through March 15, West Street will be closed from 8pm each evening, and re-open at 5am the following the day. Appropriate diversion signage will be in place for the limited traffic in the area during this time.
Station Street will be closed for two nights, begining on Tuesday March 26. West Street will remain open overnight, with access through maintained.
The eastern end of St Michael's Road will have overnight closures running for two weeks from Monday-Friday, between March 25 and April 6.
The resurfacing works are weather-dependant, so may have to be delayed should there be poor weather. We will communicate any changes in date ahead of time.
The roadworks are part of Spirit of Sittingbourne regeneration, which will deliver £326M of investment into the town over the next ten years.
The overnight closures will begin at 8pm, with the roads re-opening at 5am each morning. The road will not be impacted during daylight hours.
Given the limited traffic at this time, the disruption will be minimal.
However, diversion signage will be in place overnight to assist drivers in the area.
