Managed by grassroots arts organisation Ideas Test with the support of investment from Kent County Council, No.34 offers opportunities for people across Swale and Medway to get involved in creativity in ways they choose: as entrepreneurs, as participants, as artists.
As well as offering desk and work spaces for local businesses, No.34 will offer a programme of digital and business skills support for emerging creative businesses across Swale and Medway. This will include business development surgeries, ‘skills in a day’ events enabling people to develop their own websites and social media presence, and drop-in surgeries and hack events with creative industry business specialist Brian Condon. No.34 will also be available to hire for meetings and events, details coming soon.
A programme of creative activities, including film nights, craft workshops, exhibitions and regular networking events will offer an exciting cultural destination for all.
There will be an education and skills development programme for young people with regular after-school and weekend sessions offering young people the opportunity to develop digital skills and have fun with technology.
Our programme includes #Squad34 run by Sharna Jackson who has run digital projects for kids and young people for years and started Tate Kids. Read more about #Squad34 on the Ideas Test blog.
