Travelodge opens in Bourne Place Leisure Quarter
National chain Travelodge has opened its first hotel in Sittingbourne, as part of the Spirit of Sittingbourne regeneration.

The 63-bed hotel has created 15 jobs, with almost all of the new staff local people.

Travelodge is the first tenant to open in the Bourne Place leisure quarter, with more operators due to open to the public through the summer.

The opening event was attended by Leader of Swale Borough Council Roger Truelove, as well as representatitves from the Spirit of Sittingbourne and Travelodge.

Cllr Truelove welcomed the arrival of 'such a recognisable brand' in Sittingbourne.
